I have never done a sketch challenge before. I have make cards from sketches, and done other challenges, but This one I couldn’t pass up. I saw the card when I was surfing for something else. And I instantly loved it! My immediate thought was, I need to case this card. So, I clicked on it to track it down to it’s web site, and low and behold, it was the example for a card sketch challenge. I couldn’t believe when i loved the sketch as much as the card…
And I immediately blanked. Sent DH to the stash (I know, dangerous stuff, but I like living on the edge 😉 ) and told him to pick 2 papers that went together. This is the card that became of this fun excercise-
This one is made with 2 random papers from my stash (sorry, I don’t know who made them, I bought a huge lot of paper last spring, and these 2 were in it), Various colors of Hero Arts shadow inks, Simon Says Stamps set called Petal Pieces (clear stamp set), EK Tools butterfly punch, a Cricket embossing folder, and white heavy card stock from my office supply store. Oh, and the black is done with Sharpie. I think it’s makes it pop!
(Oh, BTW, I did use my stuff! 😉 )
Have a great weekend! =D
Okay. This one is… interesting. I came across a card I make years ago. And it was capital ‘U’ U-G-L-Y! Ya know one, that hurt your eyes to look at, and made you cringe? Yeah. So I ripped it apart, salvaged what I could, and put it back together. And it is a massive improvement. I still wouldn’t actually give it to anyone, but at least now I don’t feel like I need to burn it… 😉
This was one of those projects… I started it around valentines day as a test to play with my new Sew Easy. So the base was pink. And then I went of on a rabbit trail. When I got back around to it, I had to stay within the pink and red (and a little white) theme. This is the result. It’s not bad. Got a little bit of everything on it. I do like the stitching. The bead charm is my favorite though.
