Hey. Guess What?

I am ready to reveal a secret!  I have another postcard, it arrived today, and it’s ready to go in my shop!  This one is one of my acrylic painted girls.  It is a 4 1/8″X5 1/2″ printed postcard.  Suitable for framing or mailing.  I only have 8 of this one (for now), so let me know if you are interested.  I am selling them for $3+ shipping.

art bits

These were just random art bit I ended up with on paper.  I usually keep paper at my side as I create for the purpose of putting extra down on it… Then when it is full, I try and add things to make it more cohesive.  Then sometimes I cut it up, or sometimes I leave it big until I need it.  Then I use it in my mixed media art.  This might even have been one of the ones I did with Paula (journalartista).  This one got cut in to postcards (4×6), ATC’s (2.5×3.5) and inchies (1×1).  And I think I used the big one as a background…

Random Backgrounds (?)

I am back today, to show you one of the things I have been busy with…

On Saturday, JournalArtista  was over on Ustream teaching us a layer background.  I didn’t have time to do it on Saturday, but I came back and re-watched parts on Sunday, and tried it for myself.  Here is the result…

2013-02-12 11.39.00 2013-02-12 11.39.38 2013-02-12 11.40.33I am not sure the pictures do them justice, but out of an old Halloween candy box and a cereal box I got 8 postcards size pieces, 8 ATC size pieces, and a whole bunch of inchies (not pictured).

Go check you the tutorial (linked above).  Doing all these layers was a lot of fun, and fascinating to see how they developed.  If you go try it, I would love to see your results.  I’m sure Journal Artista would too.  So drop us a note =D

painted flowers

I broke out the paints again this weekend, and I have to say it felt pretty good…

I like the way these 2 turned out.  I think I may use them for my next 2 cards.
