green art journal page

This one sat with me for a long time, and never went anywhere.  Then one day I had a face I had drawn, and decided to try it on there.  After that, it took off.  A quote, some ephemera  a little texture, some doodles to pull it all together,,, and voilà!  I think it worked pretty well, and I’m happy with how it turned out.

2013-02-04 15.00.30Have you ever had a picture you struggled with for a while, and tried to ‘wait out’, and then suddenly, it all came together?  Tell me about it, or send me a picture! =D

sending it out

I once heard someone say, if you want something, write it down. Send it out into the universe in a positive way. I worked on this page with that in mind last summer, and recently came across it again…

I like this one.  It says “sometimes a rainbow- just a rainbow- is enough”.  It reminds me of 2 things.  The best things in life are free, take pleasure in life’s beauty and simplicity.  Also, simple can be beautiful.  Many times, I put too much on the page.  It gets full, and dark, with no white space.  And sometimes things are prettier without all the clutter.  Let’s see if this lesson sticks ;).
