So, I am still on my face practicing kick. This one is a little different, but I think I like her. She is made with watercolor pencils, colored pencils, HB pencil and watercolor paints.

This year I have been taking a class called When Frogs Sing. I love it! We learn something new every 3 weeks. Lately, I have been posting more of what I have done in the class. This last round we have been learning how to draw, shade and color folk and semi realistic faces. Here are a couple I have done. I call them ‘my 2 blonde girls’ (although, they are really both the same girl. 😉
A couple more pages from The Documented Life Project…
(Yes, I know, I spelled “too” wrong… but the eye is still awesome! :P)
So, I have decided to work on The Documented Life Project (click HERE and HERE if you want to read more about it…) I was a little late to start, but I am loving it. Combining the art, the journaling, and the scheduling it something that I think I have been looking for a long time. You can start anytime, and you can adapt it to your tastes. The first weeks challenge was Your Door. Here is my interpretation… This was done with watercolor and ink.
Yes. I have been making journals again. (still?) These two came from one of those BIG sheets of luxurious paper from the art store. It was watercolor paper (and I am kicking myself for not writing down what it was called.) They are bound with regular kitchen twine in pamphlet stitch, and sprayed with Dylusions. Then I rounded the corners with a punch. The little one has already been put to good use. I am putting washes of leftover acrylic paint in it for backgrounds, and then I doodling in it with black Pitt Pen. The big journal is still waiting for it’s calling.
